The original voice of Gossip Girl is returning to her role as Authority in all of Manhattan’s most beloved dramas. On November 7, it was announced that Kristen Bell would describe it as a reboot for Gossip Girl HBO Max, just as she did for the original CW series.
Gossip Girl ran on The CW from 2007 to 2012 and followed the scandalous life of a group of New York City Elite Prep School students, as reported by anonymous blogger Gossip Girl (voiced by Bell). Gossip Girl Reboot Release Date
A lot of Hollywood productions were shut down due to concerns over coronoviruses, and few if any resumes. The CW also pushed its entire fall lineup by January, with hopes that production could resume around September.
Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teenagers have been introduced to social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige chain will address just as much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed over the intervening years.
Gossip Girl Reboot Cast
No other original cast members have yet been announced as part of the reboot cast, but Schwartz previously stated that he is open to include them. During the 2019 TCA press tour, he said, “We have reached out to all of them to let them know this is happening, and if they want to join, we would love to join them.
But We definitely did. They want to make it contingent on their involvement. They played those characters for six years, and if they felt like they were good with him, we wanted to honor him. But obviously, it would be great to see them again.
Gossip Girl Reboot Plot And Spoilers
Kristen Bell has always been and will always be the voice of Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage said in a statement.
Schwartz also explained that the new Gossip Girl is not simply retelling the story of the original series. Rather, it is “a continuation of that world”, but whatever it will look like in the reboot is yet to be seen. There is no word yet on when the 10 episodes will take place, the Gossip Girl reboot will premiere, but HBO Max is set to launch in the spring of 2020.
