Every year on September 14 the entire world especially Christians celebrate the Holy Cross Day. The day is solely dedicated to honoring the sacrifice that Jesus has made for the goodwill of humanity. Based on the region, the name of the holiday also changes like in the Roman Catholic Church, it is known as “The Triumph of the Cross” and in the Eastern Churches the day is called “Exaltation of the Holy Cross”. Some people are also called this holiday as “Holy Rood Day”. The name can be different according to regional language but the meaning and essence are all same.

The day is celebrated to honor the memories of those. It is said that Helena, the mother of Constantine has founded the relic while excavation was in process at that time.
