Earlier today, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh who was also the Former Union Minister of India died at the AIIMS Delhi after showing symptoms of COVID-19. He died in the morning around 11:00 AM at the age of 74. According to one of his close friends, Kedar Yadav, Raghuvansh Prasad was having a problem breathing and some other symptoms.
Kedar Yadav said, “Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s body will be brought to Patna for the performance of the last rites, Singh had fallen critically ill late Friday night and was put on a ventilator in ICU in the AIIMS.” National Grandparents Day Quotes
Ex-RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh dies
Raghuvansh was tested positive for the COVID-19 in June earlier this year and he was having treatment in the AIIMS Patna. Later, he transferred to the AIIMS Delhi when he showed more symptoms of the disease.
Numerous politician shares their condolences of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s death, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi stated, “Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s demise has left a void in the political sphere of Bihar as well as the country.”
President of India, Ram Nath Kovind said, “The passing away of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh is tragic. An outstanding leader rooted to the ground, he was a true stalwart with a phenomenal understanding of rural India. Condolences to his family and followers,”
Recently, Raghuvansh Prasad has resigned from the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) which is lead by Lalu Prasad Yadav. The RJD leader, Tejaswani Yadav said, “Passing away of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has left us alone. I had met him recently at AIIMS, Delhi where he was admitted. We were in regular contact with the doctors who were treating him, they told us that he was suffering from lung cancer,”
He was one of the creators of the MNREGA Scheme and record five times representative of the Vaishali Lok Sabha seat, however, Raghuvansh has to face defeat in the last two Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019.
