Vikram Sarabhai was one of the greatest scientists in the country. He was an Indian physicist and astronomer. He was born on August 12, 1919. He helped develop nuclear power in India and started space research. He is internationally regarded as the father of the Indian space program.

Vikram Ambalal was At the age of only 28, he made it clear to the government that India too could be in the league of countries that have stepped on the moon. He was helped in his ordinance in many ways by Homi Jahangir Bhabha and thereafter he assisted Vikram Sarabhai in setting up India’s very own rocket launching station.
Vikram Ambalal brought television to India. It was in 1975 that he laid the foundation for the Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE). He had set his mind to Aryabhata for India’s first satellite. He established many institutions that ensure the overall development of society is judicious or not.
The Father of Indian Space Programme
He was one of the founding members of the Indian Institute of Management. After his death, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1966 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1972. He was a confidential man of Operation Research Group. He was the fourth Vice President of the United Nations Peace Conference which was held in 1971. He became poor on 30 December 1971. He died of a heart attack at Helsian Castle in Kovalam, Kerala.
