ISIS operative arrested in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan, NSG called in to defuse ‘pressure cooker IEDs’
On Saturday, the Special Cell of Delhi police has managed to catch an ISIS operative in the National Capital Region Dhaula Kuan, the shots have been fired from both sides, but ultimately the police arrested him. This is one of the huge achievements for the anti-terror force in recent times.
ISIS operative held in Delhi after police encounter
As per the sources, the name of the ISIS operative is said to be Abdul Yusuf Khan, he is from Uttar Pradesh. The police arrested him in between Dhaula Kuan and Karol Bagh, a pistol was also recovered from him. Dil Bechara World Television Premiere Date & Time
The Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Delhi Police Special Cell, Pramod Singh Kushwaha, said, “The ISIS operative was arrested along with IEDs that were in his possession,”
According to a report, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have combined weights of more than 15kg was restored from the terrorist. ISIS operative ‘Abdul Yusuf Khan’ was on the bike when the police ambushed him.
Later, The Delhi police said, “The IEDs were found in a pressure cooker. The weight yet not clear…it will be confirmed after the investigation,”
After that, Special forces were sent to the area near Buddha Jayanti Park, it is the region where police caught the ISIS operative. Special forces were deployed to defuse the bomb. Delhi police officials have now escorted the ISIS operative to the Delhi Police Special Cell in the Lodhi colony.
The National Security Guard (NSG) commandoes with the sniffer dogs have been spread to the region where the ISIS operative was caught and now they are scanning the area for any possible additional threat.
According to police officials, the operatives were working entirely alone and he was planning to attack the National Capital regions.
