Rajiv Kumar is a retired IAS officer from the 1984 batch from Jharkhand Cadre. Earlier this year, in February, he retired as a Finance Secretary, and in April, he was elected as PESB chairman.

Rajiv Kumar has two bachelor’s degrees, one in law and another in zoology and apart from this he also holds a master’s degree in public policy and sustainability. While he was working in PMO, he was known for his ability for difficult problem solving and confidence.
