Rahul Gandhi tweeted on this issue today, “Massive unemployment has forced the youth to call today #NationalUnemploymentDay. Employment is dignity. For how long will the Govt deny it?” He also shared a screenshot of an article that shows the number of unemployed personals inthe different Indian states.

Before this tweet, he wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he turned 70 years old on September 17, 2020, in another tweet.
According to the news report that Rahul Gandhi has tagged along, currently, there are more than one crore, unemployed persons, in India and only 1.77 lakhs jobs are available all over India.

West Bengal is the state with the highest unemployment rate with more the 23 lakhs people in West Bengal who didn’t have any job. On top of this, only 4,000 job opportunities have been available in West Bengal. BJP governed Uttarpradesh (UP) is the second-worst state in terms of unemployment with more than 14 lakh peoples who are currently jobless.
Rahul Gandhi says Youth should observe “National Unemployment Day”
Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have been continuously attacking the Modi’s government over many issues like the rapid increase in the unemployment rate, the government’s incapability to contains the COVID-19, the falling economy, India and China dispute, and many others.

The fact is that the unemployment rate in India was not getting any good and the COVID-19 pandemic situation has only made it worse and on top of this, the economy of India is at its worst for the past 25 years. This will be going to a real job for the government to bring back everything on track. Let’s see how the Modi government copes with these issues.
