Every year on September 10 people around the world commemorate the World Suicide Prevention Day in order to spread awareness towards suicide prevention. Various organizations around the world perform activities to prevent this event to a major extent around the globe. The first-ever World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) was celebrated in 2003, for this occasion the International Association of Suicide Prevention (IASP) in a joint venture with the World Federation of Mental Health (WFMH) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Currently, there are more than 70 countries around the world that participate in WSPD activities.
There are some reports which suggest that people suffering from anxiety, depression, OCD are most likely to commit suicide.

Every year, on World Suicide Prevention Day different themes are introduced in order to target the different reasons and aspects of suicide and causes behind it. For the year 2020, the theme of World Suicide Prevention Day is “Working together to prevent suicide”, the same as last year.
